From a young age, my children loved building things and exploring the world around them. They enjoyed constructing intricate block cities and learning about the Hudson River, its habitats, and how New York City’s water systems work. These hands-on experiences were more than just fun—they were powerful lessons in physics, engineering, and problem-solving. They shaped my children into creative, original thinkers and gave them the confidence to think independently and engage meaningfully with the world.

Early hands-on STEM activities made my kids curious and fostered their love of learning, an excitement that still motivates their engineering studies and careers. As they got older, I spent hours researching, vetting, and creating opportunities so they could keep exploring STEM. It was not easy to find good, consistent options, and I realized other parents faced the same challenge.

That is when I realized what came naturally to me could help other parents. My friends call me when they need to find an important resource because they trust I either have what they need or know where to find it. I dig, investigate, make connections that are not immediately apparent, and do not stop until I find what truly stands out, those hidden gems others miss. For me, it is not just about being thorough. It is about having high standards, thinking carefully, and wanting to find the best. As a parent searching for STEM opportunities for my children, I used the same approach and realized every parent should have access to this kind of curation, even if they do not have time to do it themselves.
